“Am I the only one who has no idea if this is a big deal?”<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That’s\u00a0the question you\u00a0can’t\u00a0ask\u00a0out loud. Not to your clients, who expect you to be the expert. Not to your team, who looks to you for answers. And\u00a0definitely not\u00a0on LinkedIn, where\u00a0everyone’s\u00a0a thought leader with all the answers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But\u00a0it’s\u00a0the question that runs through your head more often than\u00a0you’d\u00a0like to admit.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You’re\u00a0staring at a new vulnerability. The vendor docs are vague. The\u00a0Reddit posts\u00a0are full of speculation. Your gut\u00a0says\u00a0“probably fine,” but your brain\u00a0says\u00a0“what if it’s not?”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If\u00a0you’ve\u00a0been a security lead at an MSP long enough, you know that feeling. And you know how isolating it is.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That isolation is the\u00a0real\u00a0friction point in our channel. We have plenty of “show floors” full of brochures and sales pitches. What\u00a0we’ve\u00a0desperately needed is a “war room”:\u00a0a place to operationalize what we know alongside peers who are in the same trenches.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s\u00a0why we built the\u00a0<\/span>CyberMSP\u00a0Community<\/span><\/b><\/a>. And frankly,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0the community I wish I had access to ten years ago.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Security is a\u00a0practice,\u00a0not a\u00a0purchase<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

There\u2019s\u00a0a misconception in the broader market that cybersecurity is something you buy. If you just buy the right EDR, the right SIEM and the right identity management tool,\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0“secure.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But everyone reading this knows that\u00a0isn’t\u00a0true. You can buy the most expensive stack in the world, but if you lack the operational maturity to run it\u00a0(or the culture to support it)\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0still vulnerable.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The problem is that while we have an abundance of tools, we have a scarcity of validation.\u00a0When you hit a technical roadblock at 4:00 PM on a Friday, do you have\u00a0someone\u00a0you can text?\u00a0When a client pushes back on compliance requirements, where do you find the language to convince them?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Usually, you\u00a0have to\u00a0ask a vendor. And while vendors can be helpful, their answer\u00a0almost always\u00a0involves buying another SKU. We needed a space where an MSP could ask,\u00a0<\/span>“Is this alert real?”<\/span><\/i>\u00a0or\u00a0<\/span>“How are you actually handling these compliance requirements?”<\/span><\/i>\u00a0without triggering a sales cadence.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why\u00a0we\u00a0built\u00a0the\u00a0CyberMSP\u00a0Community<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

We launched the\u00a0CyberMSP\u00a0Community with a simple goal: create a vendor-neutral space where MSPs can have the conversations that\u00a0actually move\u00a0the needle.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You might be asking:\u00a0<\/span>Why is Sherweb, a\u00a0cloud solutions provider, building a vendor-neutral space?<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s\u00a0simple. We realized that if we wanted to help MSPs grow, we had to stop trying to sell to them and start listening to them.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
